History

A friendly independent school since 1914

Moor Allerton is a small independent school with the atmosphere of an extended family. We endeavour to make everyone feel welcome and of importance, regardless of age, religion or ethnic origin. The school was founded in 1914 and has long enjoyed a reputation for achieving academic success, whilst encouraging a spirit of curiosity and creativity.

Although our school traditions are based on the Christian faith, we encourage children from all faiths to join the school and become part of our family. They are encouraged to learn respect for different cultures by living and working alongside those of other faiths and backgrounds, whilst maintaining their own identity.

We are a co-educational school and our pupils are shown how to help one another and how to receive kindness from others in a gracious manner.
