About the Position
Contract Type: Part Time 0.40 FTE, Permanent
Salary: Based on experience
Start Date: Sep 2026
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Music lessons, encouraging pupils to develop musical confidence, creativity, and technical ability across a range of musical disciplines.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging music lessons.
- Inspire creativity, musical expression, and technical skills in our students.
- Teach music theory, performance, and appreciation.
- Lead extracurricular music activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall music curriculum.
- Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.
- Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of every pupil.
We are looking for someone who:
- Hold a relevant degree in Music or a related subject.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have previous experience teaching Music within a school setting.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for Music education.
- Is flexible, adaptable, and enthusiastic.
- Has a strong commitment to continued personal development.
